Why Safe Housing Matters

At IHCS, we’ve seen firsthand how stable housing transforms lives. Imagine not knowing where you’ll sleep tonight—or if you’ll even be safe. For too many people in Palm Beach County and beyond, this is a daily reality. With our Permanent Supportive Housing program, 37 individuals have already found safety, stability, and a renewed sense of dignity.

But the need is far greater. Elderly individuals, veterans, families, and those experiencing chronic homelessness are still without shelter. That’s why we’re expanding our housing program as part of our 2025–2027 Strategic Plan—and we need your help.

What Makes IHCS Housing Different?

Unlike short-term shelters, our Permanent Supportive Housing program provides long-term stability and comprehensive support services. It’s not just about putting a roof over someone’s head—it’s about helping them heal, grow, and thrive.

🛏 Single/Shared Fully Furnished Rooms – safe, clean, and comfortable living spaces.
🚌 Transportation Services – access to jobs, healthcare, and community resources.

Who We Serve

Our housing program focuses on individuals who are:

Currently experiencing chronic homelessness.
Between the ages of 18–65.
Diagnosed with severe mental illness, substance use disorder, or dual diagnosis.
Willing to participate in community groups that support recovery and stability.

We welcome those who are ready to rebuild their lives in a safe, supportive environment.

Right now, our program supports 37 individuals. But with hundreds still unsheltered in our region, it’s clear we need to do more.

Our 2025–2027 Strategic Plan focuses on:

Expanding housing capacity to reach more of the most vulnerable populations.
Scaling support services to help residents sustain long-term recovery and independence.
Building partnerships with community agencies to ensure holistic care.
