An evening beyond the mask.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Integrated Healthcare Systems' annual Unmask the Myth Gala is a premier fundraising event dedicated to advancing mental health awareness and expanding access to safe, stable housing.

This elegant evening brings together community leaders, advocates, and supporters to raise vital funds for programs that provide housing solutions, counseling, physical healthcare, and case management for individuals facing mental health challenges.

Every ticket purchased and every sponsorship secured helps restore dignity, promote healing, and build stronger, healthier communities.

Behind every mask is a story worth saving.

Four pillars. One promise.

Every dollar raised fuels tangible change across four interwoven missions — each one a thread in the fabric of stronger, healthier communities.

Howard Fox

A lifelong advocate for low-income families

Howard has been an advocate for low-income families for nearly 50 years. In the late 1970s, he began working on programs to mitigate the high cost of utilities — including the Federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). In over 40 states and in Washington, he developed innovative programs, including establishing the reasonable percentage of income families should pay for their energy needs.

Later, his efforts shifted to a wider variety of challenges faced by low-income families. At the dawn of the internet, he worked on using this technology to promote coordination among service providers and the promise of wraparound case management. In recent years, here in Palm Beach County, alongside his wife Audrey Ades, he focuses on food insecurity and affordable housing.

Howard holds a master's degree from the Kennedy School of Public Administration at Harvard University.
