Housing is one part of healthcare.

Good health depends on more than medical care. It also depends on having a safe place to live, access to behavioral healthcare, reliable support, and a community that helps people move forward.

That’s why IHCS created Dignity Village. It brings permanent supportive housing together with healthcare and supportive services so people have the stability they need to improve their health and build a more independent future.

Why Dignity Village?

For someone experiencing chronic homelessness, finding housing is only one piece of the puzzle. Managing a health condition, attending appointments, staying connected to treatment, or recovering from a mental health or substance use disorder becomes much harder without a stable place to call home.

Dignity Village was built to address those challenges together, not one at a time.

Rather than treating housing, healthcare, and behavioral health as separate services, IHCS connects them through one coordinated model of care, because long-term stability starts with meeting people where they are.

Why this approach matters

Research continues to show that housing stability plays an important role in overall health. When people have a safe place to live, it’s easier to stay connected to healthcare, manage chronic conditions, and focus on recovery.

Dignity Village is more than a housing program. It’s part of IHCS’s commitment to improving community health through connected care.

What a gift covers

Small gifts close real gaps

Not every need is a building. Much of what stands between someone and stability is small, immediate, and unglamorous, and right now every gift toward it is met twice over.

A hygiene kit
Soap, a toothbrush, deodorant, and razors. Basic hygiene prevents infection and illness, protects self-esteem, and removes a quiet barrier at a job interview or a doctor’s visit.
A month of bus passes
Rides to medical appointments, job interviews, and benefits offices. A missed bus is often a missed treatment, a missed paycheck, or a missed chance at housing.
Replacing vital documents
A birth certificate, Social Security card, or state ID. Without them, no one can sign a lease, start a job, or claim the benefits they already qualify for.
An emergency hotel stay
For neighbors who aren’t yet eligible for our housing or are waiting for an opening: a family sleeping in a car after a job loss, a senior living in a storage unit, someone leaving a violent home tonight.
Home essentials for a new resident

Is my gift really doubled? +
Yes. A generous donor has committed to match every dollar our community gives, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $100,000. Give $100 and Dignity Village receives $200.
What happens after August 31, 2026? +
The matching commitment applies to gifts made through August 31, 2026, and any portion of the $100,000 that isn’t matched by then doesn’t carry over. Gifts after the deadline still go directly to Dignity Village. They simply aren’t doubled.
Where does the money go? +
Directly into permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless seniors in Palm Beach County, plus the onsite behavioral and primary healthcare and case management that keep residents housed.
Is there a minimum gift? +
No. Every amount is matched, at any size. $25 becomes $50, $50 becomes $100, until the full $100,000 has been met.

Who leads this work

Dr. Monique Brown Faust

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, IHCS

Known to nearly everyone as Dr. Moe, she founded Integrated Healthcare Systems and leads its work in behavioral health, permanent supportive housing, and addiction recovery across Palm Beach County.

Her approach reverses the traditional clinic-first model. Instead of waiting for people to find their way to a waiting room, she brings mental health care, substance use recovery, and outreach directly into the community, meeting people where they already are.

Dignity Village is the clearest expression of that idea: housing paired with care, built toward a goal of 100 supportive beds.
