A Community Gathering With a Mission
What if a block party could save lives? This fall, it can. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, Integrated Healthcare Systems, Inc. (IHCS) is proud to host the 5th Annual Conquer Cancer in Every Color Block Party, a community-centered event that blends fun, education, and hope in the fight against cancer.
Hosted at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, the event runs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and offers something for everyone—whether you’re there to get a free screening, enjoy food and games, or stand in solidarity with loved ones affected by cancer.
Behind the music, food, and festivities lies a deeper mission: to provide resources, raise awareness, and support our community in conquering every type of cancer.
Why “Every Color” Matters
Cancer doesn’t wear just one color. From pink for breast cancer to blue for colon cancer, gold for childhood cancer, and lavender for all cancers, each ribbon represents lives impacted and stories of resilience.
Palm Beach County, like communities across the nation, continues to face the challenge of cancer diagnoses every day. According to the American Cancer Society, early detection and regular screenings significantly improve outcomes—yet many people still lack access to preventive care.
That’s why this year’s block party has a powerful goal:
🎗️ Provide 25 uninsured women with free mammograms
🎗️ Provide 25 uninsured men with free colon screenings
By breaking down barriers of cost, transportation, and access, IHCS is ensuring that those most at risk have a chance at early detection and better outcomes.
Free Screenings and Resources On Site
Screenings are one of the most effective tools in the fight against cancer. By making them accessible at a community event, IHCS ensures that attendees can take proactive steps toward better health—without the barriers of cost, transportation, or complicated scheduling.
This year’s event brings together leading healthcare partners to provide lifesaving services at no cost:
- Mammogram Screenings provided by Florida Mobile Mammography
- Colon & Prostate Screenings provided by Sylvester Game Changer Mobile Unit
Screenings are one of the most effective tools in the fight against cancer. Every sponsorship or donation directly helps fund these exams. For just $185, a donor or sponsor can cover one mammogram or colon screening for an uninsured community member.
A Day of Food, Fun, and Fellowship
While health is at the heart of this block party, IHCS knows that community spirit is what makes it powerful. That’s why the day is designed to balance education with celebration.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- 🎶 Music and entertainment to keep the energy high
- 🍔 Food vendors and giveaways for all attendees
- 🎲 Games and prizes to bring families together
- 🎁 Community resources for long-term support
This mix of fun and purpose ensures that everyone—kids, parents, caregivers, and survivors—leaves the event feeling uplifted, informed, and connected.
Honoring Survivors, Supporting Fighters
Every year, this event honors the courage of cancer survivors and those currently fighting the disease. It also remembers loved ones lost, while reaffirming the community’s commitment to continuing the fight.
By wearing ribbons in different colors, attendees show solidarity with specific types of cancer. More importantly, the gathering underscores a universal message: no one fights cancer alone.
